GARTEUR – Group for Aeronautical Research and Technology in EURope
GARTEUR conducts joint research in a number of basic aeronautical disciplines through a joint MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) signed by the governments of the seven leading European aeronautics countries, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Sweden and UK.
GARTEUR is a unique organization in Europe in two respects:
– only organization that has participants from both research institutes and industry,
– only organization engaged in aeronautics research regarding both civil and military applications.
GARTEUR Technical activities cover the following areas:
– Flight Mechanics, Systems and Integration
– Structures and Materials
The coordination groups (Groups of Responsables) for these areas have representatives from both research organizations and industry. A large number of technical research reports from earlier projects are available and can be downloaded via the GARTEUR website.
